The event is being held in the High Street, Queen Street, Kings Street and George Street from Midday until 18:00. Please submit Insurance Certificates and Risk Assessment documents with this application. You will be invoiced on receipt of your application form. New Bus Service 96 – Barton to Brigg

A new bus service started on Tuesday 2nd May. Service 96 operating between Barton and Brigg via South Ferriby, Horkstow, Saxby All Saints, Bonby, Worlaby, Elsham, Barnetby Top and Wrawby. Please refer to the Timetable.

May 6th HM Kings Coronation – Barton Town Market

It’s the monthly Barton Town Market on Saturday 6th May. Come along to the Market Place and Butchery between 08:00 and 13:30 for your fresh local produce, sweet treats and local crafts. Live entertainment will start from 09:30am with the Castledyke Primary School Children singing in the Butchery, followed by the Barton Town Community Band.

Can you spot the St Edward’s Crown around the shop and business windows in Barton.

HM The King Charles III’s coronation will be on Saturday 6 May 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London. To celebrate, we have placed 14 St Edwards Crowns around the windows of Barton. Can you find them all to find the hidden words. All of the Crowns have a letter and are numbered to give you a helping hand.

To enter the competition all you need to do is download an entry form or pick one up from the Town Council Office on Queen Street, write down all the letters which can be found on each crown in the windows and return your entry form to the Town Council or by email (info@bartonuponhumbertowncouncil.gov.uk) by 4pm on Tuesday 9th May 2023. Don’t forget to include your name and email.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS INCLUDING TOWN & PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS – Thursday, 4 May 2023

North Lincolnshire Council will be holding elections on Thursday, 4 May 2023 to elect 43 Councillors to represent their 19 wards, alongside a number of Town & Parish Council elections. Voters will need to show an accepted form of photographic ID at a polling station before they can be issued with a ballot paper. There are a number of IDs that can be used like a passport, driving license, older person’s bus pass, disabled person’s bus pass, blue badge. Expired photo ID will be accepted as long as the photo remains good enough likeness for the polling station staff to be able to identify the voter. Only original IDs will be allowed. There is no need to provide ID if you have a postal vote.

If you don’t have a valid ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate using the Government’s online portal or contact the Elections Team on 01724 296245. The deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate is 5 pm on Tuesday, 25 April 2023. If you have changed your address recently the last date to register is 11.59 pm on Monday, 17 April 2023.
