Violence Against Women and Girls Conference, by North Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership – 15th March 2023, The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe. This conference is aimed at anyone aged 16+. Residents, key community members, any businesses, and professionals at all levels, especially those on the ground and in our communities.
Guest speakers will include Dr Jessica Taylor, updating on the VAWG Humber Survey. PCC Katy Bourne will speak on her lived experience of stalking and the work she has done to protect future victims. A Networking lunch will be provided after the event.

North Lincolnshire Council Fostering Team are hosting a Virtual Information evening on Wednesday 25th January 6:30 – 8pm and we would love you to join, free of charge.
During the evening they will discuss all things fostering, with content delivered by their recruitment team as well as some of their experienced Foster Carers. You would be welcome to ask any questions you might have and hear honest answers from those who have personal experience.
On 9 January 2023 the government announced a new energy scheme for businesses, charities, and the public sector, ahead of the current scheme ending in March.

North Lincolnshire Council are currently looking for new members for the North Lincolnshire Local Access Forum. Applications are invited from people with an interest in the local environment, to serve on the North Lincolnshire Local Access Forum. Local Access Forums are statutory groups who provide advice and recommendations to decision making organisations, such as councils, about improvements to public access for outdoor recreation and sustainable travel. The Forum’s role is to provide guidance and contribute towards improving opportunities for the public to enjoy North Lincolnshire’s countryside.

Many people already know the do’s and don’ts of financial fraud and scams – the no one should ever contact you out of the blue to ask for your full PIN or password, or even make you feel pressured into moving money to another account. The trouble is, in the heat of the moment, its easy to forget this. After all, trusting people on their word is something everyone tends to do instinctively. If someone says they’re from your bank or trusted organisation, why wouldn’t you believe them?
Criminals’ use of social engineering tactics through deception and impersonation involving the criminal posing as a genuine individual or organisation and contacting the victim using a range of methods including via telephone, email and text message. Criminals also use social media to approach victims, using adverts for goods and investments which never materialise once the payment has been made.
So when you receive an email, text message or phone call, STOP – Take a moment to stop and think before parting with money or personal information CHALLENGE – Could it be fake? Its ok to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you PROTECT – Contact your bank immediately if you think you have been the victim of a scam so they can take action to protect your money the contact Action Fraud.
